MEET ALL IN HEAD RUNNING COACH MARY GRACE
MG began her endurance running career in high school, slowly working her way up to captain a state championship women's cross country (5k) and track team (middle distance: 800 4x800,1600). In college, she earned a Division III All American nod, but was sidelined by an injury at the end of her freshman year that ended competitive running, though she still ran a few miles here and there to blow off steam. After graduation, she found her way back into more disciplined running while living and working in New Orleans, LA. In 2009, on a whim partly fueled by nostalgia, she reached out to a local high school (Metairie Park Country Day) where she stepped in as an assistant women's cross-country coach. While coaching, she ramped up her own mileage and began to dabble in longer distance racing, completing her first half marathon in 2010 and her first full marathon in 2011. Since then, MG has completed countless 10k and half marathons, and five full marathons, including Asheville, NC, Chicago, New York City (ten months post-partum), Philadelphia, and most recently, The Hampton's Marathon, where she earned the elusive Boston Qualifying time and her first sub 3:30. She'll toe the line in Boston in the spring of 2024, but likely a few other starts before then. In 2022, MG became certified as a running coach through the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA), the oldest and largest distance running organization in the United States.
With the goal of merging her work as a health and wellness accountability coach with her love of running, in the summer of 2022, MG worked with Teddi and her ALL IN by Teddi leadership team to develop ALL IN to the Finish Line. She looks forward to working with new and experienced runners who seek to strengthen their physical and mental selves through running, finding joy in the process of seeing difficult, but empowering challenges through all the way to the finish.
